Thank you many times over. I haven't read anything so true in quite some time. I finally found something worth reading and commenting on. I look forward to your writing in the future.

I’ve been on Substack for about four years. This piece is the best written and the most resonating I’ve read so far. Incredible work, thank you

Great piece. I've also had an interest in Zen, sports, and writing for a long time and have moved in and out of these things. Your description of meditating at the shoals reminded me of a similar experience I had--I used to walk barefoot through the woods around my neighborhood, and one day, I came upon a stream and walked out into the middle of it. I sat on some rocks with the water running around me, and I felt like I was the running water. I haven't meditated in a long, long time, but maybe I'll do it once now, just to see what happens. I'd also recommend Emmanuel Carrère's "Yoga" if you haven't read it--it's about all this, too.

Thanks for the comment and for reading the piece. Yeah, definitely hear you - I liked Yoga a lot. Good luck with the meditation.

To me, your writing is as limpid, clear and refreshing as a glass of water. Thank you!
